Great design isn't just noticed, it's experienced. Join us for a discussion between experts in the fields of Architecture, Design, Programming and Human Behaviour about creating experiences in the physical space together with UX Designers, Digital Designers and Developers who craft the way we interact with products and services in the digital space.
Is there a universal law of design? Can you really divide digital and physical based on design and what can each discipline learn from each other?
Director of User Experience,
Vince works as an User Experience Director at CallRail and has a background in both bootstrapped and venture backed startups. With over a decade of experience in tech, he also strives on being an active participant in the Atlanta Tech & Startup community. Vince taught the first User Experience Design course at General Assembly Atlanta in the fall of 2014. When he's not glued to his computer, he enjoys being active by participating in mud-run obstacle courses and almost any board-sport; however, he prefers those on the water. He's not a fan of being idle for too long, and can't stop bragging about his beautiful wife and their new baby girl.
EIR / Professional Advisor,
I dream and build things.
Listed as inventor or co-inventor on more than a dozen patents with others pending I have a track record of creating and launching great products and companies. I have helped develop some well know names such as Nerf "AirJet", developed manufacturing process for lithium ion batteries and many things we can't talk about. In my spare time I mentor and coach inventors, start ups and help build the community through new technology and innovations.
My goal is to create things which make people happy while helping others realize their dreams.

NEX Atlanta & NEX Labs
Michelle is the founder of NEX Atlanta & NEX Labs – together these are a coworking community, learning-by-doing programs and a great space in Grant Park. Before that she was an architect with a passion for spatial morphology and her superpower was in listening to clients and consultants and translating between all the different people it takes to design and build something. What’s next? She’s working on an app for really polite people and a few real estate projects where the aim is to create happiness.
Senior Experience Designer,
Ashton is a senior experience designer at Second Story, an interdisciplinary studio that creates responsive environments and story-driven experiences for cultural organizations and brands. The work pushes paradigms of digital technology in physical environments by intently designing wonder into everyday contexts, inviting participation and inspiring action. Ashton’s projects have turned urban spaces in stages for public interaction, corporate lobbies into contemplative centers, and sales centers into immersive exhibits.
Julie began her career in industrial design but soon transitioned into digital design, where she has worked as a UX designer and strategist in Atlanta for nearly 15 years.
