Big Data is everywhere, and with seamless access to large public databases it is easy to get into data overload. Data is the new oil, meaning it can become a very valuable asset but only if you are able to wrangle it into a meaningful analysis. This class is designed to teach you how to do that.

What We Will Cover:

• Wrangling, cleansing, and shaping data
• Power BI
• Data scrapping

• Extract the most meaningful results from large and small data sets and multiple data types
• Become familiar with basic text analysis tools and gain insights from unstructured text data (Voyant)
• Use advanced analysis functions in Excel and open source tools
• Framing and Asking the right business questions
• Clearly articulate your findings
• Knowledge of several valuable tools for data analysis

Prereqs & Preparation

• A basic understanding of Excel’s capabilities and common Excel functions.
• Laptop with Excel (preferably 2013 or later), 10-key function if possible
