Data has become a pivotal part of our lives today. With advancements in technology, the speed at which this data is accessed is faster than ever. Data has a huge potential, as long as it is accessed and used correctly.
When using empathy and ethics to approach data, how it affects all your stakeholders. You can use the data to better understand behaviors, motivations, and aspirations. Data can show a lot of what people don’t even know about themselves.

About the Instructor
Vish is a product leader obsessed with building products to make the world a better place. He works at Evidation Health, with the mission to empower everyone to participate in better health outcomes. Prior to this, he led multidisciplinary teams at BCG Digital Ventures in a variety of spaces, including philanthropy, voter protection, fintech for the underbanked, and chronic disease management. Vish loves Indian classical music, and sunset runs along the beach, and has degrees in Psychology, Business Administration, and Design Engineering from Michigan and Harvard.
Lydia Hooper has a decade of experience as a human-centered information designer. She has worked with and for more than 50 organizations and facilitated workshops for individuals across the U.S. She led a team to win bronze in the national Civic Data Challenge in 2013 and co-founded Denver Data Storytellers in 2017. Her writing has been published by Data Visualization Society, UX Collective, SAGE Publishing’s MethodSpace and Evergreen Data. She is currently creating content for Venngage, the simple and powerful design platform to make infographics for business. With only five years after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree, Marlaina has worked in the project management profession, servicing many industries, including Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Healthcare/Medical Device Technologies, Retail, and Data Management. She is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enthusiast and is passionate about serving her community, living the motto "Paying It Forward." Marlaina founded the Minnesota AI Network (MaiN), a 1400+ meetup community of AI enthusiasts, and is the current chapter president for Blacks in Technology - Twin Cities, a global non-profit organization over 11,000 members providing support and resources for existing and future technology workers. Today, Marlaina is an early-stage startup founder with Women in AI to improve the quality of education through the leverage of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and data science.
Dr. Valérie Morignat is the CEO of Intelligent Story (San Francisco) and Associate Professor of AI Strategy and Ethical AI Design at aivancity (Paris). She is a global AI expert and interactive design leader with cross-functional experience in business, government, and academia. She holds a Ph.D. from the Sorbonne University, two certifications from MIT in AI Strategy and Machine Learning, and is certified by IDF in VR/AR design.
She also worked as a tenured Associate Professor of Cinema and Interactive Arts at the University of Montpellier (France). A Government-appointed policy advisor, she devised inclusive forward-leaning reforms and transferred high-value technology to the public sector.
Based in San Francisco since 2015, she led world-class teams in technology firms and healthcare marketing agencies, servicing a portfolio of 20+ Fortune 100 clients.
Dr. Morignat is an AI Ethics advisor to organizations such as IEEE (USA), Springer Nature (UK), and Women in AI (USA), and an Ambassador to the World AI Summit.
Meridith Marshall is the CEO of UNCHARTED, where she utilizes data and coaching to create the best places to work. Her unique ability to lead as both a practitioner and an industry-recognized expert has provided her with opportunities to drive significant impact quickly and help others do the same. Meridith has considerable experience using data analytics to pinpoint employee needs and then using this data to create thriving cultures that experience higher performance and increased employee retention and attraction. She is an established leader and recipient of the 2020 German Marshall Fellowship and the 2017 International Economic Development Council's 40 Under 40 award. Meridith has an MBA, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Economics and a Minor in Neuroscience from Drake University.
