About this workshop

Do you work in web development and have always been interested in building out interactive data visualizations? Maybe you want to give your static charts and graphs a bit of life by including interactivity and transitions that allow the user to discover new insights.

This workshop is about learning the fundamentals of the D3.js library and how best to incorporate it into your next project. We will start with introducing the D3.js library and its robust ecosystem. We will then perform a code along that incorporates the fundamental concepts of D3 such as:

• Data Binding and using the Enter/Update/Exit methodology
• Creating svg and grouping content using g elements
• Adding transitions that visualize changes in the dataset
