Finding new customers is a challenge for every business, and getting started with Ads as a customer acquisition channel can be confusing, expensive and time-consuming. This workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to Google Ads to help you get started with paid search campaigns. This class will get you well acquainted with the tool's interface, campaign structure, keyword match types and so on.
By the end of the series, students will have set up their own campaigns, played around with the Ads platform, and gained a thorough understanding of the various Ads functionalities and tools to confidently manage their own campaigns.
Please bring a laptop.
This is an introductory workshop for those looking to get started with Google Ads. Experience working with Google Ads is not required, but it would be beneficial to poke around the platform to get a good sense of the platform before the session.

Tim is a Digital Marketing and Communications Consultant with over 10 years' experience running marketing campaigns and digital projects for clients in a number of industries, including education, IT security, banking, construction, retail, health care and professional services.
Tim has broad digital experience working across a wide range of functional areas including search, email, social, web, content, strategy, analytics and conversion optimisation.
While living in Cambodia and Malawi, Tim co-founded tools4dev, a free source of templates, reviews and how-to guides for international development and aid workers that focuses on practical advice.
Tim loves meeting new people and learning new things, leading him to be an organiser for TEDx events while living in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Lilongwe (Malawi). He was also an organiser for Nerd Night in Phnom Penh, a fortnightly event for sharing nerdy passions in the Pecha Kucha format (20 slides, 20 seconds each slide).
