Content is all around us. It's the posts we see on Instagram, the videos we watch on YouTube, the photos we see on websites, the words we read in an email, article or blog post... These days there's a lot of focus on social media, different platforms and various forms of technology, but understanding how to create content that connects with your target market is the foundation that allows you to be efficient, effective and strategic with your marketing efforts.

In this class we'll cover the ins and outs of content marketing. You'll learn how to create customer personas (to understand who you're talking to) and content pillars for your brand or business that reflect your ethos, values and purpose. We'll set up a content calendar and work through how to create different types of content, sharing tips and tricks to craft valuable content (that your audience actually wants to engage with) from start to finish to be used across multiple platforms.

Please note:

This workshop is highly interactive with group activities and discussions throughout. To participate you will need to:

  • Have your camera turned on for the entire session

  • Have an accessible microphone

  • Be in a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions

  • Strong internet connection


  • The who, why, what and how of content marketing

  • How to create Customer Personas

  • How to create effective content pillars

  • How to create content that is engaging, relevant and authentic

  • Understanding a content marketing campaign

  • Setting up a content calendar

  • Content planning & organisation

  • Handy apps and tools


This class is fantastic for: small business owners, creatives and anyone wanting to learn more about how to create content that connects and understand a content marketing campaign from start to finish.

  • This session is taken completely online using Zoom and Slack.

  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection. .

  • Download Zoom. Zoom is the video conferencing tool we will use. It works a lot like Google Hangouts or Skype. You will need to create an account in order to join the call.

  • We will provide a link to the session via email 24 hours in advance - keep an eye on your inbox

This session will not be recorded, however slides will be shared following the class.

She is a Digital Marketing Consultant, blogger, podcast creator & host and content creator who has worked with a variety of businesses from product development to fashion and food. Demi has worked and collaborated with companies including; Channel 7, Microsoft, YouTube Music and Google.

Demi’s knowledge is not limited to the digital landscape within Australia, she has studied and worked with businesses in Europe & Canada. She has a passion for social media and value add content, sharing her knowledge and experiences with businesses to help them grow.
