About This Event

When you think of jobs in tech, you might imagine a developer, engineer, or data scientist someone who has technical skills such as coding.

Tech companies require people with different skill sets that aren't necessarily technical to work in tech. Non-technical roles can include marketing, product, and design plus so much more!

Join us to discover how you can land a role in tech without a technology background.

Workforce development is much more than finding the next job. It is helping people connect what they know, love and need with what the market demands. Career preparation begins in the classroom and continues throughout life. Life-long learning is essential to keep pace with an ever-changing world.

The Workforce Partnership offers services, custom programs and unique initiatives that are redefining what workforce development can—and must—be, because everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed.

The Sacramento Works Job Center System provides resources and services to employers and job seekers in Sacramento County. Planning, policy, and oversight for the system is the responsibility of Sacramento Works, Inc., the Workforce Development Board, a 27-member volunteer board of directors.

Services, resources, workforce development sector strategies, training programs, and services to employers are provided by the staff of Workforce Development Department of the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency, the Employment Development Department and over 40 community workforce development partners.

ChickTech is a national non-profit organization committed to increasing the number of girls and women in technology while improving the culture of the industry itself. From local conferences to hands-on workshops to mentoring, we create an inclusive community for girls and women that increases their sense of belonging, interest, and self-confidence in technology and engineering.

Refund Policy

We understand that, sometimes, plans change. If you can no longer make it to a class or workshop, please email us at least 7 days before the scheduled event date. No refunds will be given to cancellations made within a week of the class or workshop.

Participants who complete this workshop will not receive a certificate or any other designation of completion.

This workshop is not designed to prepare individuals to follow or pursue a trade, occupation or profession. It is not designed to improve, enhance, or add to the skills and abilities of an individual relative to occupational responsibilities or career opportunities.

This workshop is not approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools at the Illinois Board of Higher Education and participation in this workshop/event will not be counted towards an approved IBHE program/course of instruction.
