Overview: The way to successful products is by reflecting the people that consume them. Learn how to build successful teams by identifying top diverse talent. What You’ll Take Away: People leaders will walk away with actionable steps they can take to bringing in diverse talent. Candidates will learn key steps they should take when identifying and interviewing with a company. For both, information will be shared about the communities in Atlanta supporting the growth and development of women in tech.

  • Learn about the programs available to women in tech from Women Who Code, Women in Technology, and ABI Atlanta.
    • Featured Experts: Beth Laing, Director @ Women Who Code and GA graduate grew up in the online newspaper business and dove into software development after years of being tech-adjacent. As a director of the Atlanta chapter of Women Who Code, she is proud of the brilliant and supportive community the of Atlanta women in tech.
      Melissa Koehler, Co-founder of Ladies in Tech @ Turner, shared board seat of Anita Borg Institute (ABI) Atlanta chapter is a technology leader delivering world class solutions, having done so in the media industry for over 18 years. She’s the co-founder of Ladies in Tech @ Turner and shares a board seat for the Atlanta chapter of ABI.local (The Anita Borg Institute) where she’s able to apply her passion for supporting and developing women in technology. Vicki Hamilton, President of Women in Technology, board member of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is an accomplished executive leader in the technology space for over 30 years and participating in the technology community (WIT) for over 17 years. Now, she will share her knowledge and learning as being a woman and minority navigating the male dominated tech world.
