Co-working spaces established themselves by meeting the needs of start-ups and small businesses. They fostered a climate of acceleration, providing the raw materials and environment to incubate early stage ideas, as well as freelancers and creatives.
Recently though, there has been an observable paradigm shift. Big businesses are starting to dip their toes into co-working pools. We're starting to see established brands and firms embracing the opportunities that arise when their staff co-locate spaces with small businesses and freelancers.
The economic and convenient benefits of co-working spaces, as well as the need to woo prospective staff with a collaborative company culture, is just the beginning. These spaces also provide a productive and beautifully designed environment to work in, which is enabling bigger businesses to change the way they work and re-think the mobilisation of the workplace.
