About this event

Mentors and access to training play a critical role to play in developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and tech talent. Too often, BIPOC youth lack access to supportive mentors who represent them and their experiences or equal education and training. This has historically lead to missed opportunities to build skills, discover career pathways, create and nurture successful businesses -- ultimately perpetuating income inequality and generational poverty.

Join General Assembly, Women of Color in Tech, and HYPE for a fireside chat on how to bridge the gap for BIPOC youth and create equal opportunities.

Our lineup will discuss:

  • Finding a mentor and how to serve as a valuable mentor
  • Driving diversity, equity, and inclusion opportunities for youth
  • Mentorship best (and worst!) practices shared from personal stories and experiences

Come hear from both sides of the coin - mentors and mentees - on how mentorship can enhance your career journey!
