Over twenty years of managing multi-functional teams that combine strategy, sales operations, product positioning & corporate marketing. Served in executive level roles and work effectively with Board of Directors.
Management experience includes building and leading startup, turn around and high growth high technology organizations. Responsible for building effective teams for organizations; which include recruiting employees, consultants, agencies and/or independent freelancers. Personally produce deliverables as well as supervise the work of others. Known as an adviser/coach; often awarded the polka dot jersey by colleagues, for the best climber (a reference to the mountain stages of the Tour de France cycle race).
Founder and managing partner of Potterton/West, a corporate marketing firm specializing in strategic product positioning/messaging, corporate marketing and channel development. The management role encompassed initiation and implementation of strategic business plans, account management and planning, budgeting and operations. Experienced at generating and servicing corporate clientele, both as a executive and as a project manager. Clients were in a wide range of industries including, retail, financial services, bio tech, hardware and software. The spectrum of these clients ranged from emerging to Fortune 500 companies.
