About This Class

In today’s marketplace, brand is king. Regardless of the nature and size of your organization, it’s important to invest in building a strong brand to define your niche in the marketplace and help you stand out from the crowd.

By answering the most important questions about your brand, audience and competitive landscape, you can then build on this to drive product development, customer acquisition, employee engagement and strategic partnerships.

For those starting their own business, building a product or simply looking to understand the importance of a strong brand, in this workshop you will learn:

  • How to define and position your brand in the marketplace
  • How to develop a strong brand identity and key messages to target your customer(s)
  • How to build a tailored marketing strategy to promote your product or service
  • Marketing tips for driving client and customer engagement to ensure long-term success

This workshop will cover how to develop a strong brand using the strategies above, with particular focus on how to build a powerful and impressive online presence.

Prereqs & Preparation

Please come to the workshops with a laptop or notebook/pen. Students will gain the most from this workshop if they have a business or brand they are actively developing, and can prepare themselves by thinking about the unique needs of the target audience, the baseline for this product or service to succeed in the marketplace and their own passion for the business vision. The principles learned can be applied to personal branding however this will not be the focus of the session.

Brand and Marketing Specialist

Emma Sharley is a Sydney-based brand and marketing specialist, currently consulting to clients in the retail, lifestyle, property and technology sectors.

With over 10 years' experience, she has worked in marketing for iconic brands including Westfield, Diane Von Fürstenberg, Westpac and T-Mobile, both in Australia and overseas.

She works closely with clients both to understand their business vision and objectives, to then develop tailored brand, marketing and digital strategies accordingly. Emma has a strong track record in business, winning multiple industry awards as well as being an advocate for entrepreneurship as the Sydney lead for League of Extraordinary Women.
