About this workshop

Creating a brand that can stand out in today’s over-communicated and competitive world can be a challenging. That is why it is even more important to create a compelling brand strategy that will allow you to connect with customers and differentiate from your competition.

In this workshop we will walk through a simple and practical guide to developing your company’s brand strategy including:

  • Understanding principles of market research
  • Developing your brand purpose, positioning and personality
  • Defending your business with competitive strategy

We will do this by reviewing case studies and best practices from successful brands and doing interactive exercises to bring each of these components to life. At the end of the day you will leave with a framework to develop a strong foundation for your brand strategy.

By the end of the class students should be able to:

  • Explain the principles that make a strong and enduring brand
  • Apply customer, competition, market and brand elements to build a foundation for their brand strategy
  • Develop a compelling and differentiated brand position

Prereqs & Preparation

None. Please come to class with a laptop and a notepad and pen.

Students should also have a current business venture or side project they are looking to explore during the session. Those who just want to learn more about brand strategy will also gain valuable learnings using example brands.
