About this event

The Modern School of Film and General Assembly are proud to launch a maiden Art + Education program at GA's Denver Campus, featuring locally and internationally-acclaimed artist, Nick Urata of DeVotchKa. Nick not only fronts one of the most craft-forward indie bands, but also has scored for both film and tv, including: LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, RUBY SPARKS, and A SERIOUS OF FORTUNATE EVENTS, among others. Nick will share the form, content, and realities he faced while working freelance and evolving his identity as a creative and a musician; for better and for worse. Join us and hear him reflect on craft and career in his own words; and, possibly, in song.
