About This Workshop

Photoshop is the industry standard photo image editing software for print and digital output. In this hands-on introductory workshop, we will walk through Photoshop's basic capabilities and use tools and techniques to edit images and create visual design mock-ups - no design experience required!

This bootcamp will help participants visualize products and designs using Photoshop and learn some basic visual design tips.

General Assembly’s classes, workshops & events are for recreational purposes and are not regulated by the bureau of proprietary school supervision.

If this class is recorded, students will be sent the recording link within 7 days after class completion by email. Students are encouraged to download and save any shared materials (worksheets, deck if applicable) during class for later reference as they are not be shared by email.

Preparation

Download Adobe Photoshop CC or the free 7-day trial version here prior to class.

  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
  • This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
  • Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
  • Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket

About the Instructor

Dan Revitte is the creative director at Forbes.com. He previously was the online creative director for Men’s Health and Women’s Health magazines, where he was responsible for user-experience and user-interface. He has worked on iPhone apps and led teams transforming web content to mobile-first strategy. From 2007-2009, Dan was Managing Art Director of Newsweek, working on both the magazine and the Newsweek site. He has also worked for The Denver Post and as a freelance consultant for clients such as Vice Media and Popular Mechanics.
