About This Workshop
Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe Illustrator, the industry-standard vector graphics software, used by designers and illustrators who want to create digital graphics, logos, illustrations, and original typography. This workshop is designed to get you up and running with Adobe Illustrator in just one day. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading students through the most important tools and concepts in Illustrator.
General Assembly’s classes, workshops & events are for recreational purposes and are not regulated by the bureau of proprietary school supervision.
If this class is recorded, students will be sent the recording link within 7 days after class completion by email. Students are encouraged to download and save any shared materials (worksheets, deck if applicable) during class for later reference as they are not be shared by email.

Preparation
- This is an introductory course designed for first time and beginner Illustrator users. No prior experience with Illustrator is required for this class.
- Participants should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer, such as launching programs, creating folders, copying and pasting objects, downloading images, formatting text, finding and saving files.
- The full version of Adobe Illustrator CC or the free 7-day trial version of it can be found here.
- You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection (Mac preferred). You will need to have Adobe Illustrator version 2018 or higher already downloaded on your laptop at the start of class.

About the Instructor

Dominika Juraszek is the lead designer and LMS developer at iArt Institute. She has been teaching 3D modeling, animation, film production and design for over 15 years at institutions such as RISD, Cal Arts/Inner City Arts, BCNY, Bramson ORT College, New York University, and Touro’s Graduate Program. Dominika has her Bachelor’s Degree from Rhode Island School of Design and her Master’s Degree from California Institute of the Arts where she studied and worked in 3D extensively. Ms. Juraszek has over 15 years of industry design and animation experience, including working at Interface Arts Studios, designing Times Square Couture Fashion Week banners, as well as producing marketing materials and MTA ads for various companies. Dominika has a passion for teaching and looks forward to sharing her industry knowledge and experience with students at General Assembly.
In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Dominika has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program. Dominika serves as a member of the GA Visual Design Product Advisory Board.
