It was a fierce competition, but we’re thrilled to announce that the winner of our 12 Days of Giving holiday campaign was The Taproot Foundation, a non-profit that drives social change by bringing professional services to nonprofit organizations, pro bono. They’ve just launched Taproot+, a new online marketplace for pro bono, bringing together resources and interactive tools to give nonprofit professionals direct access to the marketing, HR, IT, and strategy services they need.
As the top vote-getters, we’ll be donating $10,000 to Taproot to further their mission. Specifically, Taproot will be using the award to make their groundbreaking Taproot+ program a great fit for even more nonprofit pro bono needs. In its current state, Taproot+ is highly effective at connecting nonprofits with skilled volunteers for short-term, high-impact pro bono projects.
However, these initial projects often highlight additional needs for those same nonprofits, which can also often be solved through pro bono service. To address this opportunity, the Taproot Foundation will invest the $10,000 award in developing features that will allow both their nonprofit and volunteer users to easily create add-on projects and secure the resources required to address a spectrum of related needs.
We’re incredibly excited to help the Taproot Foundation build a product that will serve even more organizations doing wonderful work in the world. We’d like to thank Taproot and the eleven other participating non-profits for joining us in our 12 Days of Giving, and for the part they all play in bettering our communities.
