General Assembly Los Angeles Women In Tech Scholarship Official Rules
1. Applicant Acknowledgements.
Applicants certify that their answers are true and complete to the best of their knowledge. If this application leads to a scholarship, Applicants understand that false or misleading information in their application may result in the disqualification of the scholarship. By applying for this scholarship, Applicants acknowledge and agree to the following terms: No application is complete until all scholarship requirements have been received. Any space left unanswered will be considered an incomplete application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All scholarships are subject to the availability of funds and based on the satisfaction of scholarship conditions. The amount and number of scholarship awards may vary at the discretion of the scholarship review committee based upon the number of scholarships awarded, and caliber of applications received. Scholarship funds are only applied to General Assembly tuition and fees. Any amount in excess of tuition and fees will be forfeited.
2. Application Period.
All applications must be received by 6pm EST on July 15, 2018 (the “Application Period”). General Assembly’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Application Period.
In order to be eligible, entrants must be 18 years of age or older. In order to be eligible to win the scholarship, all candidates must meet the following criteria:

Participants must meet the requirements of our Web Development Immersive program and be accepted as a student in the program by the General Assembly admissions team. Information regarding admissions requirements is available in the General Assembly Catalog.
Applicants must be able to complete the Web Development Immersive program in person at either of General Assembly’s Los Angeles campuses.
GA will not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, color, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, national origin or any other basis prohibited by federal, state, or local laws and regulations.
4. Scholarship Conditions.
Two scholarships are available in Los Angeles for General Assembly’s Web Development Immersive courses: Web Development Immersive ($14,950 tuition). The scholarship awards provide full coverage toward the price of tuition for program. All scholarships are subject to the availability of funds and based on the satisfaction of scholarship conditions. Scholarship funds may only be only applied to General Assembly tuition and fees. Any amount in excess of tuition and fees will be forfeited. The scholarship is available for any Web Development Immersive course launching on campus in Los Angeles July 1, 2018 through December 1, 2018. Candidates must intend to search for a role as a web developer in the greater Los Angeles area at the completion of the program.
This scholarship may only be awarded once per person and may only be used once per person. The scholarship may not be transferred to another course once the initially chosen course begins. The scholarship may not be applied retroactively if the student is already enrolled or a graduate of a General Assembly program. The scholarship may not be applied in conjunction with a General Assembly tuition credit. The scholarship may be forfeited if the student withdraws from the course, is proven not to be eligible, does not meet General Assembly’s graduation requirement or violates the Student Conduct policy as stated in the General Assembly Catalog.
